Playing for Success

Playing for Success

Playing for Success is part of the government’s National Framework for Study Support.

How does it work?

  • Primary and secondary students are selected by their schools against agreed criteria set out in the school’s development plan
  • Groups of 12 pupils attend a programme of sessions over eight weeks
  • Each session lasts two hours and takes place after school
  • Each session is tailored to develop pupils’ literacy, numeracy, science or media skills depending on the focus requested by the school
  • The programmes of study and the environment are designed to enhance ICT skills as well as raise pupil confidence and self-esteem.
  • Each learning session is delivered by experience teaching staff and is well supported by our trained mentors
  • Students are picked up from school and safely transported to and from the centre, in our own mini bus.

What do we offer?

We offer literacy, numeracy, science and media programmes based upon an innovative syllabus. Much of the teaching is based around using state-of-the-art computer hardware and software and equipment.
