Young Journalists
We’re all about publishing great multi-media content produced by local young people at MFC PfS and our Young Journalists section is an area of our site focused on a group of youngsters who’re dedicated to bringing high quality audio features, facinating images and compelling writing to make their stories come to life.
What’s it About?
Young Journalists (JY’s) arrive at MFC Study Support with varying levels of skills and experience ranging from complete beginners to multi-media savvy experts but everyone receives the same high level of training.
All our YJ’s are tutored on…
- questioning and interview technique
- audio/video and photographic recording equipment
- audio/video and photographic editing equipment
- professional radio studio equipment
- internet publishing platforms
What’s in it for me?
We encourage young people to use their own personal interests to produce items for radio shows and news reels. These items are then published to the internet by the YJ’s themselves along with supporting images, audio, video and text. So if you’ve got a hobby or interest that you’re passionate about, why not share your enthusiasm with the world as an MFC Study Support Young Journalist?
